Love Meme 2021

Hey all!

I admit, I wave having a bit of a bad day and I decided to check out the Love Memes linked on my player page from the wiki... which is when I realized the last Love Meme was in 2018! 2018! That was so long ago!

So I thought it might be a good idea to go about setting up one for 2021. :)

No negativity, please, only praise, compliments, and joy.

I'm going to start a thread for everyone, but if this triggers anyone's anxiety, I can remove your entry from the thread, no worries.

Go forth, giveth and thou shalt receive-eth the love. Eth. :P

I think working with you is only predated by Seraph and Tap, so we've been stealing horses together a long time. I've mentioned this with others, but I love to push people, and you've always been the first to push back and not only show me up, but build on an idea to make it better and your own.

I've got a lot more time with you out of game as a friend than in it, but that's mostly my fault. You really came through with was stellar work in DPS and I'm really hoping to see you back. I said on chat, if you need some help with an on-lane back, you just need to email, and I will work my ass off to help.

See, you thanked me for thinking of you in Siege Perilous, and I literally high-fived Rossi in the pub when she told me you said yes to the log. I know you're busy, but if there's anything I can do to get more Pixie, especially as an X-Man, you let me know, because not only is the character a delight, but your writing is a much desired addition to any project.

I think I've written more with you since you came into the game than anyone else, and I don't think it's particularly close. You've always been an important writer, plotter and co-creator, and you've done a ton to force me out of my comfortable zone, and I don't say that lightly. Frankly, I used your character to blow up the literal world and you trusted me enough to go along with it. If that's not trust, I don't know what is.

One of the hidden gems of the game. Your writing is always on point, always beautifully constructed and always welcome. I know you're working on a concept and I hope it gives you a chance to be able to show off more, because you're so good whenever you get a chance to shine.

Over the years writing together you've always risen to the challenge with your characters. I'm hoping this refresh will give you a second wind, because I know how good you are as a writer and a player, and I'd love to see more, especially with Kurt being one of the elder statesmen of the X-Men.

You took a game concept of mine as a character and ran with her for a long time. You've always been willing to push and stretch with your characters and your write totally unafraid. I wish you had more free time, because it is always a joy to see and write with you.

Oh man, so many plots, so much work together. My only regret was that you never really got a chance to run with Jennifer Walters for an extended period. But your Wanda has always been a joy and you've been first in line for anything I suggest which is a massive amount of trust, considering the number of times it's involved character torture. You've become a hell of a writer and hopefully, once all these silly distractions are over in September, you've have time to focus on what is really important: XP.

We haven't done a lot since Bobbi left, but I've always hugely respected your writing ability and am hoping to see more of it in the near future.

We've only done the one log, but Alani has a lot of really intriguing possibilities and you've showed a really deft turn with her. As well, you've been a big help with the wiki which is an often unseen but vital part of the game.

I have loved your Kitty, which is why I've chased after you for ages for plots with her. I will be returning to Scourge soon, because we have a team for that and you really killed it during the nanite plot, paired up with the vague idea of an VI and ran with it.

Man, I have spent years beating your characters to shit. I mean, every opportunity I have had to do something awful to MA and Kyle, I have not only taken it but doubled down on it to make it worse. I tried to take MA's eye back in 2008 the first time!

But, something a lot of people don't know, is that I wouldn't be in this game without you. I was the start of the big transition of comic fanfic writers to XP, but I also (shockingly) pissed off a lot of the RP stalwarts with my ideas about canon logs, creating plots and the like. So they kicked my ass out. And I walked away. Months later, at DexCon, I kept fielding questions about XP ideas and pitching solutions and plots. Enough that Frito came to me and said if you want to come back, tell me what it would take.

A few months later, lured in by Jazz, I told Frito I wanted back in. And she faced down everyone in order to meet my terms - people who -hated- me, and she made them bend to my demands. I would literally not be here without you.

You've always had an easy grace with your characters; a kind of effortless touch that elevates them in every situation. And you've been willing to run them through some hard times in order to get back an authentic kind of growth. It's a rare skill and you have it in spades.

It's been a treat to watch your work with Alison and trying to make 14 make sense in a real world environment like XP. Of all the characters you could have chosen, you chose likely one of the most difficult to make work and your dedication to the execution has been admirable.

It's so nice to have your drive and creativity back in the game. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you've got planned for DX and other things, and it will be great to get things moving with Clint again.

I know you've really busy, which is a shame, because every time there's a plot with QQ or Miles in it, you absolutely manage to surprise, intrigue or impress with your take and your logging. Both characters present very unique challenges and you handle both with skill and aplomb.
